Adult leaders are essential to creating a safe, spiritually strong, and well-organized camp experience. Our goal is not for adults to run the camp, but to mentor, support, and ensure safety while allowing young men to lead.
What Will Be Needed:
Spiritual Leadership
Be an example of discipleship in word and action.
Participate in devotionals, testimony moments, and gospel discussions.
Help create an environment where the Spirit can be felt.
Pray for and minister to the young men individually.
Mentorship & Supervision
Support quorum leaders as they plan and lead activities.
Provide guidance without taking over.
Encourage unity, inclusion, and positive peer relationships.
Maintain appropriate two-deep leadership and safety standards at all times.
Safety & Logistics
Monitor hiking groups, campsite areas, and activity zones.
Assist with transportation coordination.
Help manage food prep, equipment oversight, and campsite organization.
Be attentive to hydration, weather conditions, and physical wellbeing.
Respond calmly and decisively in case of injury or emergency.
Skill & Activity Support
Assist with outdoor skills (camp setup, fire safety, cooking, navigation, etc.).
Support physically demanding activities and encourage resilience.
Help young men accomplish challenging tasks without removing the challenge.
Administrative Requirements
Complete required Church safety training.
Follow Youth Protection and Church activity guidelines.
Communicate clearly with parents and leaders as needed.
Adult leaders should come prepared to serve, teach by example, and “be with” the young men—helping them do hard things while strengthening faith and brotherhood.
Our role is simple but powerful: create space for growth, ensure safety, and walk alongside these young men as they walk with Christ.
